Great Lakes Airlines’ 2nd Annual “Flying 4 Food” campaign a Success!

Great Lakes Airlines just completed its 2^nd annual “Flying 4 Food” campaign in July. System-wide, Great Lakes doubled its food collections over 2009 and collected over 6 total tons of food to help refuel local food pantries. People could donate a can of food in each Great Lakes community for a chance to win one of four round trip tickets given away in each of Great Lakes’ 59 cities. That’s 236 tickets given away by Great Lakes Airlines to raise awareness and help in the fight against hunger. Please look forward to cleaning out your cupboards in July 2011 for a chance to win next year.

Great Lakes Airlines will be hosting their 2^nd Annual “Flying 4 Food” campaign in Cheyenne. During the month of July, members of the community can bring a non-perishable item to the airport and enter for their chance to win a round trip ticket on Great Lakes. Donate as much as you’d like, but only one entry per person per week will be allowed. At the end of each week, Great Lakes will announce one lucky winner. Last year, over 3 tons of food was collected throughout our system. Great Lakes is happy to partner with the Salvation Army this year.
